Introduction to NADRA Infrastructure Engineer (Consultant) – Contractual Position

The project is aimed at improving the country’s digital infrastructure and enhancing IT capabilities. NADRA, as the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), seeks to hire a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to contribute expertise in system storage, virtualization, disaster recovery, and more.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining system storage, virtualization, and backup recovery solutions.
  • Ensuring smooth operation of Linux and Unix-based systems.
  • Implementing disaster recovery strategies and storage solutions.
  • Troubleshooting system issues and optimizing performance.
  • Handling Software Defined Storage (SDS) solutions.
  • Administering Windows, Linux, and other server operating systems.
  • Managing system security, firmware upgrades, and software patching.
  • Supporting backup and recovery systems for efficient data protection.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
  • Assisting in automation with tools like Ansible or Chef.
  • Providing technical support for web servers, DNS, and virtualization.
  • Adapting to a flexible work schedule, including morning and evening shifts.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Solid troubleshooting skills for complex computing platforms.
  • Knowledge of firmware upgrades, system hardening, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in working with government or public sector projects will be an advantage.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available for morning and evening shifts.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
